Costa Rica is busy these days preparing to host the World Surfing Games, while determined to defend the first places it won for male single and whole team last year in Nicaragua. (Soundbite) Jose Urena, Director of Surfing Federation of Costa Rica "Basically they are like the Olympics of surfing worldwide. It is an event where we are expecting around 40 countries to attend." This is the second time that Costa Rica hosts the games in the Jaco Beach from August 6 to 14. The 2016 INS ISA World Surfing Games got off to an explosive start on August 7 at Playa Jaco, Costa Rica, with the participation of 142 competitors from 26 national teams.
